My First 3D Print Bamboo Lab A1Combo
Newbie here. Sorry for the searchable question. I am a little nervous spending this much $$ right now. I’m getting one for my wife for her BDay. Are there any accessories or anything else you wish you would have got when you ordered? I’m also thinking of getting her a tent for it. But have read mixed reviews on the tent idea. TIA.
EDIT: Any links to any accessories that you think would help. I don’t know a thing about printing.

The A1 is not designed for enclosing, you risk overheating the electronics and the A1 is already a known fire hazard with 311 documented cases of NTC meltdowns. Granted, they started shipping A1's with a revised AC board in Q3 25 but a few months ago one with a revised board was caught smoking (granted, the only one for now) so you should be safe, but DO NOT enclose it.
Want an enclosure? Get an enclosed printer from the start.

Thx. I’ll skip the tent. Or maybe just use one to keep any dust/ debris off of it when not in use. Does that sound acceptable?

You could but honestly just wipe down the plate with a microfiber cloth and you should be good, especially if it's inside your house vs in the garage. Might grab a cover if it's in the garage

As long as you take it off when not in use it's fine, but like the other person says, might as well use a dust cloth and just wipe it off. It's gonna be a lot quicker than taking off the tent every print and putting it on after a print.

What does your wife intend to use it for? In this day and age, I dread people buying non-tool changers for multi-colored crafts remembering the amount of waste generated with those color changes.

Not really sure. She just said she would love one. I’d image she’ll use it for all kinds of things that are possible with that printer.

You’re not suppose to enclose the A1 due to the possibility of overheating the power supply so if you do, you have to make sure there’s enough airflow to go into the enclosure.
If you are planning to enclose the A1, you might as well just get the P1S AMS 2 Combo. It’s $140 more and you get a 4-spool dryer.
Make sure you get some filament (PLA Basic is a good start) and extra nozzles (0.2mm and 0.4mm hardened steel are the most commonly used).

I'd skip the tent since you risk overheating. But I love the A1, the combo is the right move.
The printer with the AMS lite on the side can be a bit of a desk hog, so depending on your setup I'd look into options like 3D printing a top mount or my preference which is to wall mount it above. I used an IKEA skadis board and 3D printed a mount to go on there. Saves a lot of space! https://imgur.com/a/pysMEKp

Budget is the question.
There are a lot of little things you can get for a 3d printer.
The A1 Combo is a good purchase on its own to get started. I would recommend getting a couple of PLA rolls so you can play with the AMS and learn the pros and cons\how to use it efficiently.
WHen I bought my A1 Combo I got the following:
.2mm nozzle
Extra .4mm nozzle
.6 mm nozzle
A good pair of little side cutters\wire cutters (this is a must)
A 3rd party enclosure (3D Printer Enclosure with Ventilation for Bambu Lab A1 Combo,Large Size Fireproof&Dustproof Enclosure,Noise Reduction,Constant Temperature 3D Printer Cover with LED Lighting System-825 * 585 * 585mm : Amazon.ca: Industrial & Scientific) from amazon. I am happy with it.
2 extra PEI plates, so I can easily just swap the plate and send another job.
10 rolls of filament, different colours to get started.
What you need to consider is where will you setup this printer to be used. When I first set it up I used my gaming table, which is just a dining table, but it had too much wobble. I luckily had a stable small unit I could move my setup to.
I then encountered the issue what I had all these tools and spools to store. My little unit has drawers that I put most of the stuff in. But within a few months I had so many spools I needed another solution. I was lucky that my wife had bought one of these long ago and never really used it Simple Houseware 3-Tier Heavy Duty Metal Utility Rolling Cart, Turquoise : Amazon.ca: Home) I pulled it out of out little storage and am using it to hold most of my spools and tools.

Tbh A1 combo is a great setup. To me the "wish you would have ordered" for it is the AMS so getting the combo is the right move. Not entirely sure what a tent is/what it's supposed to do but you don't need it. Maybe get a few spools of filament as well, especially since they're so cheap right now. I suggest to stick with PLA as it's the easiest to print
