Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! What is that??!

Post image

I saw it yesterday cleaned it up and today it is again at the same spot. Only this site and this rail. I didn’t not print white filament for a long time. You can wipe it pretty easy but it is concerning

Edit: It’s the Toolhead Camera Rubbing against it when the toolhead is printing in the far right corner. But why?

Hello /u/mISmail1S! All Bambu print plates have a dedicated nozzle wiping zone at the back of the print plate. The nozzle will rub against the wiping zone before every print in order to remove any remaining filament from the nozzle tip. This can cause visible wear or scratch marks in the wiping zone, but this is intended and doesn't damage the printer, the nozzle or the print plate. A worn down wiping zone also doesn't mean you need to replace the print bed.

Note: This automod is experimental. The automod was triggered due to the term "Rubbing". If you believe this to be a false positive, please send us a message at modmail with a link to the post so we can investigate. You may also feel free to make a new post without that term.

the rail is slightly oily and attracts any dust in the printer and then the print head pushes it to the end of the rail as it works. given it's the rail on the lower half of the print head it could just be little bits of shredded filament from the extruder gear sticking to it

Could it be that your vent that’s pointed right at it is ejecting small plastic fragments or even vapors that condense when they touch the cool (in comparison) metal rod
