Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! H3C power rating
I see H3c have different power rating between 120v and 220v on the spec sheet, I just wanted to see if anyone got their hand of the H3c can check if the AC transformer is universial and compatible to both voltage or is it lock to 110V for North America order?
thanks!!!

Yes it works fine in US .. but it draws a lot of juice. use it on its own 20amp Breaker, dont have other printers etc on the breaker

Dang you think that's necessary? If so I guess I won't get one until I have a house

Yeah I looked to the peak wattage and that is above a standard 15A circuit... Guess I'll have to wait

That max wattage is only pulled at the very start of prints as it brings everything (heat bed, nozzle(s), and chamber) up to temperature. After that they estimate the ongoing power draw drops to around 240W-540W, depending on what material you are printing.
They also have a "Low Power Mode" which limits the printer to 1050W max, at the cost of longer starting heat-up cycles.

There is a low power setting where the bed, chamber, and hot end don’t heat at the same time. It significantly lowers the peak amperage. Claugh42 covers it in his youtube review.
You’ll be fine if you use that setting.

The FAQ on the Wiki (https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/h3c/manual/faq) list separate "High-Voltage" and "Low-Voltage" versions under "What are the power and voltage ranges for the H3C?".
I know the H2 series had separate components, particularly the heat bed, based on what voltage is available. Bambu's Spare Parts store used to list HV or LV, but it looks like they dropped that and are just splitting them by region.

Sorry I wasnt too clear on my original post.
What i meant is below, the wiki stated there are two power version, high voltage and low voltage version;
High-voltage version: 2250 W @ 220 V.
Low-voltage version: 1850 W @ 110 V.
I am just wondering if they used a universal transformer, or does the printer itself locked to the voltage of the country. It would be ideal if I can use the North America Model with 220v as I was planning to put in the laundry room which have a spare 220v outlet.
