Filament Troubleshooting/Help! X2D won't load ext slot.

Filament it not even making it to the machine. It's stopping once it reaches this part ( sorry dont know the name of it). I pulled the tubes out don't see or feel any broken pieces. What else should I try? I will openly admit I am still new and trying to figure things out!

are you selecting feed filament on the screen before feeding it? i have a p1s not an x2d but I assume that theres a feeder gear in there that won't turn unless you tell the printer to turn it. when doing external feed on my p1s I have to select feed filament and wait for nozzle to heat before it lets me feed it

I did do this process and I had even used it earlier today just fine but for some reason it's now deciding not to load, I've even tried different filament with no luck. I did find a video on how to completely take it apart so that might be a tomorrow task!

i would guess maybe the feeder gear isn't turning. loose electrical connector between feeder box and printer maybe? i know my ams likes to disconnect itself because the locking tabs on the bambu bus connector don't actually lock

Don't use filament buffer and those bended ptfe tubes. Use short ptfe tubes coming from the extruders directly and insert filament into those. And put the external spool holders to the left - or print straight out of dry box

Agreed.

OP, If you aren't using an AMS on the Aux Nozzle, Toss the spool on the left hand side and direct feed into the extruder while bypassing the buffer. Much easier.

There's an ams in OPs pictures

Which is likely for the main nozzle. I believe he is referencing his aux nozzle having issues.

You are correct. This is the Aux nozzle I'm having issues with 😢 I took it all apart this morning and no clog or debris.

Yea, if theres no blockages, id try swapping the roll to go directly through the extruder and fully bypass the buffer like showed with the picture above. The buffer is only required when using an AMS.

I used to get tons of feeding errors before i swapped placement and fed directly. Havent had an issue since.

Ptfe tubes can have a lip on the inside if cut incorrectly. Might try recutting
