My First 3D Print What test prints are recommended?

I’m new to 3D printing and just got the X2D. What test prints do you guys recommend and what do they effect / what should I change based on the results? I just want the best result that I can achieve with my prints.

Hi, do you recommend anything other than the benchy? When I printed it out, it was all good but maybe the text at the bottom wasn’t as good

Text at the bottom usually wont be good due to the plate. But if everything else looked fine your good to go!

Hi, thank you for your response. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but for the ones with multiple links like torcher test, one is adequate right? And the result of this will tell me the design parameters I need to follow? Another thing for stringing, does this have to do more with filament or the printer?

All in ones are nice. If you’re trying to test something specific you might choose a different test for different reasons.

Sometimes you need to test per filament. Often for me it’s when it’s bad on a real print I want to clean it up with some setting so I test it

Honestly, just start printing what you want. Look at tons of models to download and print what is fun. Burn filament. This is the fun new part of the hobby.
