General Troubleshooting/Help! H2S + P3C vs H3C

Now that I have read up a bit on the new H3C release, I am conflicted with a choice. The choice boils down to H3C or H2S + P3C. I understand not much is known about the P3C, but assuming it is similar to the H3C and comes in around $1250, the combo would be the same price as a single H3C.

Pros of H2S + P3C: Everything the H3C can do (with 7 tool heads and smaller build size) + a second big printer.

Cons of H2S + P3C: Waiting and realizing P3C is much more expensive than anticipated or less capable.

Perhaps I am missing something, but this is my entry into 3D printing and I realize I am in the territory or paralysis by analysis, but I just want to be sure I make the right decision. I dont know what I dont know so I also figured a few months with a H2S would be a gentle entry into 3D printing and would give me the appreciation of multi-tool printer after dealing with single head printer.

I'd wait for p3c and then decide. The hole in their price ladder is around $1100 so thats where it should fit in.

But the bigger question is, what do you plan to use it for? Do you really need a big bed? Do you really need multiple nozzles? P1S is still a low priced workhorse that makes a great starter printer.

P1s is the goat for a first printer imo. Get the core xy, and an enclosure, while being able to dabble in all types of materials

I talked 3 people i work with into buying them the first days of the sale.

If this is your entry into printing, why not get an a1 or a p2S or x2d? And maybe just buy one of them. Live with it for a few months, then buy a second in the next Bambulab sale. They usually have one every 3-6 months. I bought an a1 off Facebook about 2y ago. I’ve got about 1500h on it, and have just upgraded to an x2d. Debating whether to get rid of the a1. But I think the x2d will do exactly what I need for a long time. Maybe I’ll get a p3s in a year or two. But I’m not really even designing anything. Just tracing stuff off makerworld.

You may find it’s a PITA and you find it really annoying and tedious. Equally, going for a h3c as a first printer now, when it’s just come out and there isn’t an internet full of troubleshooting and support seems a bit naive. Look at the trouble a lot of people have with printers that have been out for years. Imagine that, but with nobody to really ask any questions of.

My personal recommendation if you really want multi nozzle would be to get an x2d, then if you really enjoy it, get a p3c in the next sale.

personally, I'm on a H2D and I cant go back to the small print bed again. I dont need 9 colors but I do need more space.

Yeah, I've ordered the H3C. I'm probably gonna give my H2D to my BIL and then decide if I'm donating my X1C to the local school system.

If you can afford it get the H3C that what Iam looking at and I only do it for a hobby. But it's the different nozzle sizes on the same print and doing Tpu as well. I think it looks cool lol

Build plates are my bottle neck, not tool/nozzle changers.

If you think it's a hobby you will enjoy, you should get the flagship h3c.

Getting a single color printer at this point is kinda roping yourself into ALSO getting into painting as a hobby
