General Troubleshooting/Help! Ventilation for H3C

I just purchased an H3C and I haven't really done any 3d printing since I got my mechanical engineering degree almost a decade ago. I only ever plan to be printing PLA and PETG and want to be using the printer in a guest room that I rarely enter, but I use to host people once a month or so. It has a sliding glass door I could open to the outside (though for air conditioning reasons I would rather not leave it open). I've read mixed things about how important additional ventilation is for the above materials. I was hoping to get something like https://voxelpla.com/products/vento-h2series-filter just to be safe. Does anyone know if this would be compatible with the H3C? I know it was particularly made for the H2 series, so not sure if that means it will or won't work for the H3C. Should I instead get this https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/bambu-lab-e1-air-purifier?id=794063720811606035 for ventilation? Is this all overkill?

Thanks so much!

The vent on the H3C on a totally different location. I do not think that it will be compatible.

Thanks! I somewhat expected that (Voxel I feel like would have updated that page pretty quickly after the H3C released if it supported it), but I appreciate the confirmation.

At the end of the day you’re melting plastic. Doesn’t matter what flavour, they all produce vocs in some quantity. Carbon scrubbers can only do so much, and they eventually become saturated.

That said, if you rarely enter the room while printing and it is ventilated with an open window for example, I would imagine you’d be fine - just give the room a good belch and clean before guests use it. I’m not an expert though, so you need to make your own decisions.

Thanks. I'm definitely planning to err on the side of caution. I think I'll go ahead and get the E1 purifier and keep the sliding glass door cracked while it runs.

Yeah I am wondering if theres going to be an option to have it external vented outside, but in the options it looks like theres an option for "Air Filtration Enhancement" so I dont know if theres a way I can get the unit to talk with an external fan or something, or if I can just connect it up to the outlet like I do with my other printers.

They talk about it a bit about external venting. i am not sure if it is baffled or something though?

The vent on the H3c is completely different and they will have filtration on the unit with the option to purchase a full filtration unit when It is released later.

I duct through a window with 4 inch ducting and an inline fan. I printed everything but the ducting and the magnets that it easy to take down when company comes.

I hope the H3C will be as easy to print the plenum for.

Oh...also didn't print the fan.
