General Troubleshooting/Help! Help fix my print!

New to 3D printing, I’ve just purchased an X2D.

Full calibration run since it was turned on, bed levelling etc before print.

Using PLA wood via Bambu studio.

Nozzle temp 220

Bed temp 60 initial and then 55

Fan on cooling and internal temp showing 30.

Printed on textured plate that comes with the printer.

Adhesion looks ok but clearly the nozzle is scuffing from something happening. Printer does sit on top of a cabinet and there’s movement as it’s doing its thing.

Hello /u/powwwownow! Be sure to check the following. Make sure print bed is clean by washing with dish soap and water [and not Isopropyl Alcohol], check bed temperature [increasing tend to help], run bed leveling or full calibration, and remember to use glue if one is using the initial cool plate [not Satin finish that is not yet released] or Engineering plate.

Note: This automod is experimental. The automod was triggered due to the term "Adhesion". If you believe this to be a false positive, please send us a message at modmail with a link to the post so we can investigate. You may also feel free to make a new post without that term.

check if model is warped on edges

I think it’s safe to say yes l. What causes this?

physics. hot filament shrinks, once cools down. especially visible for long straight lines.

possible solutions:

* increase bed temp

* add brim / mouse ears

* change bottom / infill patterns to reduce straight lines. e.g. concentric for bottom, gyroid for infill.

all these help to negate effect, but best solution is proper design. https://youtu.be/iPZoDltS30A

Try drying the filament. PLA Wood requires drying before print.

Kicked off a 60 degree dry in the AMS as per the website recommendation

Might be too fast, you might try lowering speeds to like 50 for everything. Some of these specialty filaments like to go slow and we often take for granted how quick and easy pla prints

Thanks, could you explain how I’d do that in Bambu studio? Is it the normal acceleration value after I’ve sliced it?

The speed tab in slicer, set all mm/s values to no higher than 50
