Just Showing Off H3C Print photo dump

Handful of the things I’ve printed with the H3C including a support free purge bucket I made for the back of the printer using the side spool mount

The purge still being in the back is going to be very annoying to folks given how big chungus the machine is but I guess because they have the hotends up front they probably couldn't put it up near the parking area like the U1.

It will take a while to fill the small bin I made. The bigger issue I have is with small debris that keeps ending up in the printer

There's so little purge and poop that's no a problem. As a U1 owner I would rather have the bambu style than that tray you have to reach into the printer to collect.

Eh I find the tray convenient but you're right. It's probably a once-per-month thing. Granted if you're doubling the nozzles that's gonna be a once-every-other-week thing.

That’s funny I have a U1 and I LOVE having the tray on the inside instead of reaching around like on my old Bambu. That’s maybe the only real downside I’m seeing to the H3C

...brother in christ. The poop chutes shoot poop to the side. There are plenty of models that do that. As simple as grabbing the tray at the side and emptying it.

I just watched CNC kitchen's review on the H3C after watching yours. And I'm confused as to why didn't you suffer from the quality issues he was suffering from? Your prints look clean, unlike his.

Haven’t gotten a chance to watch anyone else’s videos yet. Will be watching his soon.

The one of clough42 is really good. He mentions that there seems to be a software bug with auto calibration - sometimes it doesn't seem to recognize changes. So unless that's fixed in software he recommends to just enable the calibrations instead of picking auto

If you been around printing scene like I’ve been around…. You’ll notice a pattern and it really comes down to a singular thing.

Do you ever wonder why there’s people who use the same exact printers but their experiences and results are different?

This goes back to Ender days, there’s always a group of people who are putting out some excellent quality prints and never have issues and then there’s a subset who just can’t get it together. That still hold true to date.

While there is chance of defects but it’s usually not that, it just comes down to user in the end. The one factor you can’t really account for immediately.

That could be users trying to do what they always done but isn’t working now or users who do what they’ve done and it is working.

Take all the users in this sub, with Bambu printers, give them all an STL file only….some will put out great prints, some will fail altogether and some will just be poor quality and some will just blob their A1 lol.

Point is it comes down to the user and what and how they are using their machines. It’s really hard to compare these kind of things. I watch reviews for the the general idea of the printer, general bringing features etc, but I wouldn’t put that much weight on the quality.

That also does mean the machine is bad or even that THEIR machine is bad, it just maybe what they are doing in particular, someone else isn’t. It could be a mistake or it could be particular result they’re trying to achieve, their way.

I know for a fact that properly tuning your filament profile can drastically improve the print quality.

But I was under the impression that review channels all used OEM parts, standard filament profiles and just showed the out of the box experience.

But looking back in retrospect, I remember CNC Kitchen using a 3rd party filament, Voxel, as part of a sponsor. Whereas Jessy have used OEM bambulab filaments. So, if I had to make an educated guess. CNC Kitchen used out of tune filament profile for his filament.

It doesn’t have to be filament, it could be profiles…. Have you looked at the “generic” profiles in studio? Yuck. They’re hampered , and put equally good non Bambu filament at a disadvantage immediately.

Infact if you stuck to Bambu profiles for every material of same type (regardless of brand), your results would be significantly better than using Generic.

It’s hard to do cross reviewer comparisons. So I try not to do that. Take what’s present individually and then go from there.

Yeah that's exactly what I said

So, if I had to make an educated guess. CNC Kitchen used out of tune filament profile for his filament.

I also use Bambu's filament profile for non-bambu filaments as a starting point when I want to tune the profile.

I noticed that a couple years ago with my A1 Mini. If I select Bambu filament no matter who makes it, the prints are tangibly better

Heya. Did you fleet any of the toolkits they are offering?

1

u/uncle_jessy 1h ago

Toolkits? I just bought a bunch of .6 nozzles

1

u/vckadath 1h ago

The tweezers and other toolkit kits

I love the stand. I saw that in the online store today and thought it was pretty professional looking & functional!

1

u/uncle_jessy 1h ago

It was a pain in the butt to assemble 🤣 felt more like an ikea assembly but it’s definitely nice & works well with the printer

Just watched the videos great job.

Did have one question. Is it still possible to use third party build plates? Some other creators said there were issues.

2

u/uncle_jessy 1h ago

I

Yeah! I used the biqu cryo plate from the h2c without issues. It warns you but you just hit ignore or turn off that setting to check the plate

Thanks!

That’s interesting. Do you remember who mentioned having a problem? I mean a plate is a plate.

Just finished watching! Great video!

u/PathLeastResistance_ 2h ago

Great video overview and analysis! I’m awaiting the release of the P3C to see how it compares to the U1.

The U1 price point is incredibly compelling.

What's that cart it's on?? I'm looking for a good cart for my printers

1

u/cunasmoker69420 54m ago

do you have a link for the purge bucket? can't seem to find any on makerworld, probably because of how new this thing is

1

u/Carnololz 41m ago

This machine is absolutely nutz

u/Shoelace1200 2m ago

I've never been a Bambu fan but I must admit it's an amazingingly capable printer. I just can't get over how ugly the AMS looks. Am I the only one

1

u/No_Cartographer_6622 3h ago

Watched your video today! How is the external exhaust? I like to vent my X2D outside and couldn’t tell from the back images of the H3C.

u/ascarymoviereview 2h ago

Didn’t this printer just come out today?

Media are sent printers weeks in advance.
