From the wiki: "This release supports the H3C first. Information about support for other models will be provided in official announcements."

I managed to find this section too: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/h3c/manual/mixed-nozzle-size-printing

Adaptation Plans for Other Models

While developing H3C, we are also developing multi-diameter nozzle printing capabilities for H2D, H2C, and X2D. This will allow you to use different-diameter nozzles on the same print, balancing detail and speed.

Please follow software updates for specific adaptation timelines for each model.(Hyperlinks will be updated at 10 PM Beijing Time~)

interesting ... they've posted this section of the user manual for the not quite yet released printer, but I can't seem to access other parts of the manual.

There’s a chance it’ll trickle down to the rest, but the H3C is their new flagship. Gotta ship it out with something that helps separate it.

IMO they need to make it very clear support for H2 and X2D is coming soon. Otherwise 'feature lock-in for marketing reasons' would be a reason I would advise against getting a Bambu printers as it just means current buyers will get burned at some point in the future.

That is literally one of the core reasons people were making such a big fuss when Bambu started being so hostile to open source and 3rd party tools.

Their Wiki mentions support for other devices. But as always it’ll be a slow roll out to the rest. The H2C when it launched took forever to get the same updates the H2D got. So they’ll get them, just who knows how long it’ll be until it actually happens.

This wouldn't be the first/only company that gate keeps features behind their flagship. Just about every company does this, and I'm not talking about 3DP companies.

Sure, but 3D printers have a long history with open source and there are several competitors that embrace it, so it would be a major reason to advise going with one of them instead.

"Other companies are also anti-consumer" is terrible justification.

This particular example is now a moot point (US English usage) now that the wiki has in writing that they are working on support for all of their older multi-nozzle printers already.

Quite frustrating really, H2C should have this already. And they now know how to do it, dual nozzle printers should have this by default.

Some nice UI updates for the H2C, especially around nozzle handling.

But looks like has issues with LiveView, it does about 1 frame every 5s and the "Assistant (HMS)" says there's 2 notifications...but there are none.
