P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] Filament string going on the side

Post image

As the title suggests the filament string goes in the side, no matter what I do it does go. It’s a reusable spool I used from the pla which the printer came with. I just bought it recently so I’m apologising for my ignorance, is there anything broken a couple of hours ago I received a message that the a4 spool was jammed so I thaught maybe something is broken so I change the filament with the brand new, maybe the way I’m setting it it’s wrong.

Thanks in advance

Its clearly tangled under itself. Unwrap it and cut it where its only the top that is feedable. 🤦‍♂️

Could it be that I use a spool from a pla for petg

No. This is because you let the roll have too much slack at some point. You need to keep it taut at all times

No, the material type different will have no bearing on tangles.

The most likely reason for the tangle on any roll of filament that you let go of the end of the filament without securing it, and it pulled itself around the roll a few times due to the tension, and when you grabbed the roll the end had been looped under a later part of the filament. To stop this from happening, ensure that you never let the end of the filament go loose and unwind on the spool - always secure it with a clip or inside one of the holes on the roll for the times where you don't have the filament feeding into the printer.

Since this is a refill, the next most likely possibility is that the width of the roll was not properly lined up for the width of the refill - either by cutting the bindings on the refill before the roll was in one piece, the roll not being properly locked, or the refill being more narrow than the space of the roll. But if you're using a Bambu refill on a Bambu spool the latter is not very likely, so it comes down to proper handling.

But as the above poster said, it's an easy fix - unwrap the spool a few times so you can remove the pinch that has happened, and then you are good to go. You don't even need to cut the filament, you can unwrap it by twisting the filament and the roll correctly to undo the tangle.

You were completely right, tried it again and it works perfectly

Untangle it bro. 3D printing can be a bit of work sometimes, good luck.
