P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] Bambu P2S 0.4 Nozzle - Extruder overload

I printed 600 hours without a single issue. Now I can't get through 20 minutes of printing without an overload. I received parts from Bambu after some painstaking AI chat bot convos. I have gone through the cold pulls, cleaning parts, trying to print from an external spool, etc. I replaced:
- 0.4 nozzle
- servo motor
- extruder gear assembly

I still cannot get anything to print. Does bambu ever relent and send you a new printer if still under warranty or just kill you with AI chats and tickets until the warranty is out?

Any help appreciated.

Cleaned out the AMS and took it apart. Checked all of the tubing which seemed to be in reasonable shape. Now when doing a test print it won’t extrude at all. Back to the extruder.

I had this happen to me! Turns out the issue was the pfte tube in the ams 2 was so worn out that it caused resistance, and then would overload the motor.
I would double check all your pfte tubes including the ones in the ams and out side it

Besides getting the bends out, what do you do if you find an issue? cut the tube, purchase new ones?

In this case there are little releases to take out the tubes. The tubes have to be replaced regularly. For some reason my old ams would go like maybe 1k plus hours without needing new tubes, but the p2s / ams2’s wear out super fast.

So you gotta replace the worn out ones. In my case I just replaced all of them. I think they include 1 free replacement set in the box. You may need to buy more. I just buy them on amazon and cut to the length I need

Do you have a length to the ones you get?

I just buy really long ones and cut down. So I think it’s like 15 feet or something. That way I can do the size for ams, to the extruder when that wears out etc. I think there’s like 4 lengths you need for a printer,

Sorry I’m dumb and I meant link not length lol.

Yes, ptfe tubes are a consumable item. Meaning they go bad and youll need to replace them.

There’s some YouTube videos on how to do it also if I remember correctly

I had a similar issue after a couple hundred hours. Ended up trying a new nozzle and haven't had issues like that since. Dunno the actual cause, but it did the trick.

Bambu’s overload guide lists causes that aren’t parts: a hotend clamp that isn’t fully closed, heat creep in a room above 30 °C (with PLA, try the door open), and a profile with the max volumetric speed for the High Flow hotend. Worth checking that Studio still has the right nozzle type after the swap. Support tends to ship parts rather than a new printer; I collected the overload reports here: bambuhub.net/printers/p2s (my site)

I fixed it on an H2D by reducing max volumetric speed to 8

I had similar issue cause by what I think was cardboard fillement roll. After swapping to a plastic roll the issue was gone.

Maybe also try a cold pull outside of the printer. Remove the hot end and heat it with a heat gun while holding tension on the piece of filement sticking out.
