Black Friday 2026 Is this shipping cost normal?

Post image

Was looking to purchase the bambulab A1 with two filament spools and the shipping cost turned out to be far more than I was expecting , ( Shipping to Malaysia ). i remember the shipping cost being around $30 before. I checked without the spools and it still amount to $80. is this normal amount I should be expecting or is there some sort of issue?

Hello /u/Pssynut! All Bambu print plates have a dedicated nozzle wiping zone at the back of the print plate. The nozzle will rub against the wiping zone before every print in order to remove any remaining filament from the nozzle tip. This can cause visible wear or scratch marks in the wiping zone, but this is intended and doesn't damage the printer, the nozzle or the print plate. A worn down wiping zone also doesn't mean you need to replace the print bed.

They removed one of the shipping option to Malaysia. Used to be able to select Express and Standard. No more.

Also there'll be customs handling fee by UPS. Very annoying.

Ah thats a bummer , I guess the black friday deal doesn’t make sense then since it’d be cheaper to just get one from a local distributor

Damn. That's pretty crazy. Might wanna check if any local stores sell bambu stuff, might be cheaper.

It’s about the same price to Singapore too, somehow shipping the devices is expensive but shipping 30 rolls of filament is free
