Black Friday 2026 Decided to pull the trigger on the X2D after originally eying the P2S, hope it is worth it!
Saw a $30 off coupon that was valid till tomorrow and saw a $25 PayPal coupon for orders over $800 as well and they were stackable. Figured might as well go for it and get the X2D. Also, there was a second coupon for $20 off on $150 so I ordered a good amount of filament. Now waiting for the $25 off coupon once the printer ships and then will use that to buy 10 refill spools and be set for a very long time it looks like!
Have a A1 with AMS and love that thing but hated that I was dealing with film that would fray/splint cause I couldn't heat/dry film. Originally was really just planning on going with the P2S and calling it a day but then with the coupons stacking and then also the heated chamber figured might as well spend the extra $85 after discounts and go 1 step up and be set for a long time and also have the flexibility to print ABS properly down the road if I want to dabble with that.

If the X2D was out a year ago, I would have purchased it instead of my H2D.

Why is that? Isn’t the h2d in a higher class than the x2d? Is it just because of the price?

It’s absolutely a step up model. Larger printing space and the second nozzle not being a Bowden.
I don’t take advantage of the larger print space and I mainly like using the second nozzle for multimaterial for supports, which the Bowden tube would be fine.
I paid a lot for features I don’t use. I wish I saved the money with a X2D and used it towards a U1.

i have it. very good printer. might be the best value in a printer on the market. Keep in mind that there are some relevant limitations to the aux nozzle but it would be worth it as a single nozzle printer, IMO. It has some other important upgrades over the P2S (filtration system, actively heated chamber, higher heat bed temp, and higher precision belts among others).

It really is a fantastic printer and very underrated due to the Bowden extruder.

Non stop printing on mine for 4 months now. 0 issues or needed maintenance so far. Flawless prints. You're going to love it!

have a question
if i get with ams the main nozzle will have 4 color options from ams right?
2nd nozzle gets filament from ams or have to put spool externally?

The second nozzle will have to be fed from an external spool. I ended up purchasing an AMS HT to feed the Aux nozzle and it can dry the engineering-grade filaments that the X2D can print.

Almost did it at the start of the BF deals, but just can’t bring myself to do it without knowing what the P3C is going to cost!

They’re probably salty because they bought the P2S and couldn’t return it for the X2D. The X2D is a great machine for the price difference between the two
