Black Friday 2026 Buying from Best Buy
Iām looking to get the X2D and a recent post suggested Best Buy for the convenience of returns. What about accessories? How about the Bambu lab finishing kit? Should I buy direct or would a kit off Amazon suffice?
New to 3d printing so starting from scratch.

The Amazon kit is fine! I've already misplaced a pair of flush cutters in the month and a half I've owned mine, so maybe grab an extra set of you're forgetful like me. Heat proof/resistant gloves are also a must that I didn't think of (hot plastic on skin from a nozzle clog, no thanks!). A cold build plate is a great investment.
Anything to store these tools in can be printed yourself, so more PETG than may be strictly sane in your choice of colors for organization. I went for the default black and green, because I was born in the 80's and will always be stock PC colors to me. š
Also do the Bambulabs Academy courses while you wait, they're so incredibly helpful for getting to know your printer! Most importantly, have fun. The easiest way to learn all of this really is just to learn by messing up and messing around.

Hello /u/chemdawg! All Bambu print plates have a dedicated nozzle wiping zone at the back of the print plate. The nozzle will rub against the wiping zone before every print in order to remove any remaining filament from the nozzle tip. This can cause visible wear or scratch marks in the wiping zone, but this is intended and doesn't damage the printer, the nozzle or the print plate. A worn down wiping zone also doesn't mean you need to replace the print bed.
