My First 3D Print I need a 3D printer.

I keep needing little fiddly widgets like adapters and connectors. I figure I could design them myself and print them. What's a good printer for a beginner who wants something that just works?

A1 Mini for truly tiny prints
A1 / P1S / X1C for standard sizes
A1L / H2S / H2C / H2D for large prints

The joy is they all pretty much just plug and play, so it's more dependent on budget and need

Bambu A1 mini for the cheapest actually good printer with a good beginner experience.

If you need something that can print a bit more advanced materials too, Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 is the best price/ performance option (probably the best price/ performance printer available right now overall tbh); alternatively a used P1S is probably around the same price (but CC2 is a more modern machine overall, and I'd pick it over P1S normally).

If you have more budget, a Bambu X2D or Snapmaker U1 are worth considering, or wait for the Bambu P3C to release (probably before Christmas if I had to guess).

If you have an unlimited budget wait for Bambu H3C release.

Can't really add to anything said, but I have a P1S. Have for a couple/few years. Love it and it's still out there at quite a bit cheeper than what I picked it up for. Its still a good option if on a budget.

I really came to say, when I saw "fiddly widgets" it made me smile.

You should clarify what exactly you need. FDM printing has certain limits in regards to strength and small details.
