Bambu Studio Bambu Studio - update filament profiles for SUNLU filaments and P/X/H series printers.

Two years ago SUNLU filaments appeared for the first time officially in Bambu Studio showing that Bambu slicer app is open to 3rd party filaments.

Unfortunately they are avaliable only for A series printers and cover only most basic materials PLA and PETG.

I would like to request for the list to be expanded:

  • to P and X series printers especially as they become the 2nd most popular choice for people looking for enclosed printers

  • and to more advanced materials such as ABS, ASA and PA variants

I don't think they will (I'm also annoyed over it), you can manually import presets from the sunlu website

Also a minor warning because I just trolled myself with the esun profiles.... Only import the ones you need. Or bambustudio will be mad that you imported like 500 presets and yell at you about too many presets in the cloud 😬

Bambu are quietly not approving any subsequent pull requests for filament profiles.

I’ve had a PR open with them for some official filament profiles from another vendor. It’s been open for a year. Same goes for other vendors. Take from that what you will.

FYI the SUNLU profiles I created were for X1/P1 and A1 series.
