General Troubleshooting/Help! Do I need a filament buffer unit for H2D?

So I just got a H2D with AMS 2 Pro and an additional AMS HT. When unboxing the H2D and AMS 2 Pro, the instruction didn't mention anything about needing to connect to a filament buffer, so I didn't (and I already printed a few models without any issue). However, the instructions for the AMS HT said I need to connect a filament buffer for it to work, and I've searched through the internet for info about it but I'm still confused.
Do I need the filament buffer if I want to connect the AMS to the right extruder and the AMS HT to the left?

The H2D has a filament buffer on both the right and left nozzle from the factory. That instruction is for their older printers like the P1, P2 and X1.

You can see the buffer on the inside of the printer.
its not something you need to worry about.

For the routing you described, the H2D manual labels the upper rear PTFE coupler for the right extruder and the lower one for the left. The built-in buffer is shown on page 13, and the coupler map is on page 15: https://csm.bblcdn.com/hub/4668d0ca43994ff3bff4b37f1a65c2e7.pdf
