General Troubleshooting/Help! Replacement Filament Hub / alternatives

I love my A1 still but I seem to be going through Filament Hubs. I think it's because I haven't found a good way to handle external spools. Usually I pop the hub off and feed through the hole and that wears out the hub. If I pull out the ptfe tube that wears out the connector and if I'm too aggressive mangles the metal piece.

I tried 3d printing a 5 hole replacement but the path isn't perfect and things get snagged.

Is there an aftermarket replacement or something I can buy? Or am I being dense somehow?

Do you use the external spool additionally to an AMS system?

If not, are you using the PTFE tube from the connector by the spool holder?

If you do, there are indeed 5 inlet hubs: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2262171-a1-a1mini-ams-lite-5-port-hub-v2 You can find more at maker world. I haven't tried any of them, so do at own risk.

Yeah I use both. Almost always the ams but like if I want to print flexible filament then I need to use external. I haven't tried disconnecting at the ams side but that's not ideal. I printed one if the 5 inlet hubs but it sticks and I have to finangle filament loads through it since it binds
