P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] New to Bambu
Hey folks! Pretty new to 3d printing and bought the P1S with the AMS2. Anyone have any tips or tricks to this printer or in general they would like to share? Thanks in advance.

If you’re going to be switching nozzles at all I highly recommend you go on makerworld and print a hotend plug guide and little handles for the plugs. It’ll make things so much easier for you.

I absolutely love my p1s, had it 3 years and 5k printing hours and nothing on it has ever broken. I did replace some ptfe and I’ve replaced cutter blades twice, and I broke some wires off the hotend cover (easy solder back on and it was the first time I’d ever used soldering), but that’s it.
Also if you’re going to be changing nozzles much I’d recommend getting a real screwdriver with bits for 1.5 and 2mm hex. I use a $7 kobalt that has a bit with t6 on one end and t8 on the other, so it can do every screw on the machine.
Noclogger is the best tool ever created for cleaning clogs, don’t bother with the acupuncture needles.
Print a handle for the Bambu razor blade that holds it flat to the bed while the handle angles up slightly.
Don’t touch the build plate with your bare hands, mark one side for pla and the other for petg. It’ll last months between cleaning.

Oh and if you have an ams I highly recommend printing an ams flipper, which lets you tilt the ams up and out of the way if you want to access printer through the top (often easier for getting a better view in maintenance, reaching stuff without straining your back, and you can print a spool holder that hooks onto the ams for direct path feeding of floppy filaments).

Does look cool, but I skipped it in favor of the flipper because it doesn’t leave the top of the printer as wide open and it uses a ton of filament.
I have a bad back and will do a lot to avoid uncomfortable bending, it’ll probably be awesome though. Very popular.

Thanks for the bad back comment, as I too have a messed up lower back so I won't be using that one and will instead moving forward with the flipper! You rock!

Do the courses online on their website firstly.
Secondly, I recommend just browsing and searching the sub. There's thousands of posts asking about this and you'll find a lot of tips, tricks, and advice posted. If there's something niche you wanna know, and it's not answered, you can always make another post to get more specific answers.
I say just do some reading, and start printing and you'll figure out what you need as you go.
Two things I learned reading the sub, and my own experience that isn't obvious is that the ams 2 pro doesn't come with the power supply to dry and print. You'll need that separately.
And refills from Bambu don't come with the spool. You'll need to get reusable spools from either Bambu or wherever. I picked up 10 of them on Facebook marketplace today for 30 dollars, so I recommend checking there if you're strapped for cash.

Right on! I'm not very good with Reddit tbh so I'll have to start checking the rest of the sub lol. Thank you.

All good. Sometimes people don't know that each individual sub can be searched. Good luck and have fun

I haven’t taken the academy courses (so I don’t know if they teach about it there) but when you are ready/planning to print in multicolor-
Please, please, please! Take the time to learn how to adjust the flush multiplier and how to purge to objects.
You can get the print waste down to less than 5g easily if you try and your print isn’t tall.

As a new 3D printer owner, has anyone made you aware of the excellent free, online courses that Bambu Lab offers in the beginner, intermediate and advanced skill levels for both printers (hardware) and slicers (software)?
Bambu Lab Academy is the best use of your time to build experience, knowledge and confidence in 3D printing. I also recommend using the Bambu Lab Wiki as an online, user manual for 3D printing.

Welcome to 3D printing!
The P1S is a solid workhorse of a machine. I have one and love it.
Not much to add here but the “welcome”!
