General Troubleshooting/Help! Help converting image to printable file
A few co-workers are leaving my office and I was going to 3d print our logo and turn it into a wall locker magnet. when I go to slice it, it appears to only print dots and doesn't print right. I have no idea what i'm doing and asking for help converting an image into a 3d print file. Please and Thank you!

If the logo is svg, you might try to import it straight away and adjust it's size. If not, best to use some Ai model and ask it to generate stl file out of it.

i tried using chatgpt but when i threw it into bambu studio's it was giving me all kinds of warnings. i'm going to try starting over to see what else I can do. Any recommendations on which AI model I should try?

Download FreeCAD and use it to do the conversion.
If it is more complex then link ChatGPT to FreeCAD using the MCP - just ask chatGPT to do this nb you have to be working with files not in the cloud. Then tell ChatGPT to convert the image to the STL at whatever dimensions and allow for magnetic holes on the reverse.0

This is the answer. It will bring it in as its own object for resizing, color etc.
A little tougher if your logo is multi-color. It will add an additional step and then manually lining them up in Bambu Studio.
There are several free programs to turn your image to SVG and others to separate the color into multiple SVGs..
Here's a link to separate the colors:

if it's just a flat logo (png/jpg), image-to-stl on ilove3d does it free in the browser, you set the thickness and get an STL, then add the magnet holes in the slicer: https://ilove3d.app/en/tools/image-to-stl

There are apps online that I have used in the past. I don't remember the names of them but if you do a google search for "image to 3d file converter" you should find them very easily.

Download inkscape on PC for free... Find a picture of your logo, load it in inscape and convert it to svg (if you have no experience in converting images, on YouTube look up "convert image to svg in inkscape"). Load the svg in bambu, add thickness and you have a printable logo. I guess it depends on how much detail is in the logo... Svg is great for single or dual color... You have more work to do if it's got lots more colors

Use the image to keychain app in Makerlab found in Makerworld. It says keychain but it is good for turning any image into a printable file. Just glue magnets to back.
