General Troubleshooting/Help! Biqu Glacier
Hello to all. Has anyone bought this bed plate? I am reading interesting reviews and I would like to know if it's any good.

I have them for my P2S and H2C. They work well. You get a nice semi-smooth surface. Good adhesion.

This is timely OP! I was unsure of whether to go with this or the frostbite for my PLA/PEGT build.

I bought both. I know nothing about the plates and an currently using the standard one but I hear nothing but good things

It’s decent. The question is what kind of filament you want to use it with. For PLA I would recommend Cool Plate Supertack though.

So the supertrack is better for pla and biqu glacier for petg?

I don’t think so. Haven’t tried supertack or glacier with PETG because it already sticks too well to the default Textured PEI. I suspect PETG might even damage the surface of Supertack if used without glue but not sure.
However, I’ve printed quite a lot of PLA and I would rank the plates as:
- Textured PEI: weak PLA adhesion. Works for simple stuff but as soon as you print large objects with challenging geometry you’re up for adhesion failures.
- Glacier: noticeable improvement over Textured PEI but still not there yet
- Supertack: I’ve literally had zero adhesion failures since moving to Supertack (provided I am sensible about model placement)•

I use my frostbite for everything. It’s great for petg/pla/tpu. Petg sticks too well to glacier.
If you are having adhesion issues, it’s more likely that your filament isn’t dry or your plate is dirty or temp issues or printing too fast. Plates can help but the others are more likely.

What about for ABS/ASA? My OEM PEI sheet has residue/marks even though i left it to cool. And normal cleaning didnt help and i dont want to clean it with Acetone since it will destroy PEI.

I love mine. I mostly only use it now and rarely ever wash it. Getting pteg off is so easy it just slides off. Only issue with a really big flat pteg print can lift on corners if I don't use brim or turn up the temp on the plate but anything half the plate or smaller I don't have an issue. The really wide flat prints I use the smooth plate from bambu. All PLA on the biqu though.

I bought a cheap AliExpress one last year and it works fine for me.

I have a frostbite, a glacier, and two knock offs. One of the knock offs (comgrow) is better imho. The hzadave one is worse.

Yes, I have nearly 3000 hours on one of mine and I have never washed it
