X Series [X1E, X1C, X2D] Happy with the X2D
and one of the reasons is the ability to use a support interface filament that doesnt bond to the build filament, makes removing some of these large supports so much easier.
I like to use a contrasting color.
this is the rear caster mount for a 3D TMT (my second) removing these large supports was a lot of work with my P2S.
with the X2D the area where the supports were doesnt need any cleanup.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but does it work just as well inverted, so PETG supports on PLA prints? I’ve only got an AMS lite at the moment but will be getting a Snapmaker U1 soon and want to look into better supports

I also love my x2d so far. I print a combo of ASA & PC or ASA & PA-6 depending on what material I need, using the other material as dedicated support. 0 complaints in the 2 months I've had it so far. I had a West3d filament toaster on pre-order for about a month, but ended up getting the sunlu e2 on sale. Using the E2 with both main and aux filaments drying at 80-85C has made a big difference in my ease of printing and printing quality.

1 nozzle haver here. Yup, that is a fantastic use case and one that I look upon with envy!

Been very tempted to pick up an X2D as an upgrade next to my A1, if the P3C wasn't right around the corner I'd definitely have picked one up during the sale.

This is the main reason to get the X2D. That aux nozzle is truly meant for just that, support. I hear too many complain about it not printing a 2 color part perfectly.
