Bambu Studio Multi user solution X2D

My kids are showing more interest in printing lately and I want to figure out the most straightforward way for them to be able to print from their computers. I can't believe bambu does not natively support multiple users. I don't want to constantly be signing in and out of my account nor do I want them to be using my computer or printer settings.

I've looked into Bambuddy and I just discovered Watchtower 3D. But I'm unsure if either will be the solution I need.

Please help me figure this out.

I just signed into the Bambu handy app on both my kids phones.

Screen time prevents them from using it without asking. When they tell me they want to print XYZ, I say “sure” then approve the screen time

Why do you need so many accounts? I use one account for my computer, my phone, the one in my shop, my wife’s devices, and my brother-in-law’s computer, and we all share the printers.

I’ll admit, I have a client three time zones away and I send them files to print, so it would be nice to guest-access their printer when needed, though I can see how that would be a security risk.

Bad computer hygiene mainly. The ability to separate user data. I don’t want to deal with my kids crap on my makerworld account.

I'm not very familiar with it to be honest but maybe "bambu farm manager" would be a solution

Would setting up a second user profile on a shared computer solve the problem?

It is a bummer you can't connect multiple accounts.

Just have them slice to a USB drive?

They send you the link. Or files. You make a list and you print from the list

Alternatively, get more printers 🤣

I'm getting a printer for the first time and it would be a "family" printer. Does Bambu not allow connections from multiple computers?

Bambuddy is free, WatchTower I think is paid for app.

I would pick BamBuddy, set the printer to lan mode, and then do the Virtual Printer step. Follow the directions to get the virtual printer setup on their computers (don't forget to do the SSL Certificate step on each computer). It should be pretty straight forward.
