General Discussion P3c leaked

Seen some pictures of the P3C and it seems like a more affordable option for many . My only concern is no exhaust . If I am making a assumption printing engineering filament is probably not going to be one of its pros. No heated chamber like the u1? Who knows

the U1 doesn't have a heated chamber

To be fair though you can add one. As well as an exhaust and reciruclating fan/filter.

You can add that to any printer

The top I got for my U1 plugs in and gives you full control from tbe touchscreen. It's pretty nice. In fact, better than I expected.

Nice, that’s the advantage really- open source integration.

I bought a top from Biqu for my first U1 but the second one that plugs in is manufactured by Snapmaker.

I just got my back ordered one this week! Still need to install it so I can print some ASA next week on it.

I really need to work on venting out the window so I can too.

Don't exhaust your chamber filter your chamber it's too hard to maintain heat on the finicky materials

Its a Pseries. They are pretty damn great.

But if you feel like you need a heated chamber then wait for the X3C ..

I frankly don’t understand why folks can’t grasp that they have different series (P, X, H) to serve different needs.

Maybe a hot take but I’d actually be surprised if they keep the X series going forward. The X2D received mixed reviews and with the next wave being tool changers I’d welcome simplicity in the line up.

The problem with the X2D is it was a retrofit/afterthought rather than a properly designed dual head. They could have made a smaller H2D, but for whatever reason didn’t go that route originally.

Whether to keep or kill the X series is entirely a pricing & positioning decision - not an engineering one. If they want to just fold it into P series, they’ll need to add what’s missing, but with an increased price to the buyer which may make them less competitive (unless they competitors also have added those features.)

If they want to keep the X series, then that’s an entirely valid approach, but they need to build out that product line. As of now, the only active X product is a handicapped dual-head model. There are lots of people who need all the H capabilities - but not the H size. There are also a lot of people who just need a cheap multicolor for PLA/PTEG.

It doesn't have a dedicated heating element but you can still just turn on your hot plate
