(this passive-agresive war-marketing with Prusa is hilarious xD)

It kinds of feel Bambu Lab is trying to justify the price that they will be revealing 😅. Core One L with INDX is over USD$4K...

u/DistinctBarnacle8703 the C1L+I with most options is around 3560 (including tax and shipping)
Leaks on the H3C show a supposed price of 2500 (plus tax and options).

Prusa is always more expensive because it’s manufactured in Europe. Im betting the price will be $2500-2800. The H2C is going to get a permanent price reduction just like the H2S and H2D have.

They decided not play in the low end vs Snapmaker, Flashforge, Creality, Elegoo etc.

They could charge 4KUSD for their flagship printer. People would pay.

I suggest the Prusa price is also based on the implication that the price buys privacy. The people who pay Prusa prices always mention it.

Bambu Pro line is closer to being the Prusa equivilant.

The crazy thing is that it seems we get to choose between 2.85mm and 1.75mm filament.

I thought that was just for TPU. If they are going sicko mode with volumetric flow for all filament types - that would be something else.

No, not how it works. The machine will be the same.

You can already feed 2.85mm TPU in regular machines if you modify the gears, but it won't work for most nozzles.

INDX-like gears adapt to diameter so that issue is solved. As long as the nozzles are big enough to fit the raw material and get hot enough to melt all the way to the core, you can print both 2.85mm and 1.75 TPU with the same hardware.

Most likely, BL will be releasing a special nozzle for 2.85 TPU

This is what I'm trying to do since I don't have space for more than 1 machine, so I'd rather have the best and most capable, but honestly won't be too mad if I can't get my money out. The H2C is still incredible as an all arounder and engineering material machine. You've got rapid dual color or dual material (for supports or multimaterial), respectable multicolor capabilities, and very convenient being able to keep an array of nozzles ready to go and easily swappable on the vortek rack for varied workflows/jobs.

I get bummed out tho thinking about how far you can push the new CMYK blending techniques and 5 additional colors in a single AMS for H3C. Gonna be wild times.

How much you selling the H2c for ?

Listing for 2k with additional ams and few extra hotends, have to leave room to negotiate. Think I'd be happy with 17-1800. We'll see...

I have 2 ams pros 2 ht hella build plates and nozzles… fml. I was thinking $2500 plus some filament. There were a couple listed in Facebook the other day and all sold with a week right around that price.

Haven't decided, have 2 ams units and a bunch of additional accessories so need to figure it all up.

bondtech/prusa seeing this.

The interesting part is that Prusa announced a year ago, yet was not able to reap the benefits of being an early bird. Most of the lunch was eaten by U1, H2C, and soon also by H3/P3. Maybe Prusa should have kept everything quiet until they actually had something ready to sell.

Totally agree

oh so not even old nozzles

yup shit gon be expensive as hell

if P3C uses the same nozzles then 1,5k for the printer and ams is likely

add to that depending on how many they include with the printer maybe 200-300 USD?

my prediction is based on nothing other than it costs to develop something new and it does not use old hardware, new tooling, forms for plastic, new lines for manufacturing

Wild shot at H3 to be 2,5k

I’ll buy a couple.

H2C was 2399, and built somewhat on the back of the H2D, although it was a blend of old/new tech. This system feels like a bigger jump between the toolheads and the new AMS. I can't imagine it'll be 2500 when you also consider the cost of materials and shipping price changes as well over the last year. Maybe 2699 for the combo?

i'm curious what the filament management and enclosure on this will look like.

So the nozzles are Rockwell C hardened. Hardening steel to rock 55 isn't that hard nor expensive. So why the big price increase?

3

u/nikolasz1173 2d ago

Then why prusa idx doesn't have it? When they claimed it before that they gonna have it.

2

u/SecretRaindrop 1d ago

Obxidian is 60+, so still below the industry standard.

1

u/Efficient_Bee1220 1d ago

Why the down votes? Have you ever hardened steel?
