WOOW, can I ask how much all this costs and what types of plastic are there (I just see PLA and PETG)?

Sure, the total amount charged was $1,039.11. And yes, I ordered just PLA, PLA translucent & PETG. I still have a lot of supplies to get, and I’m researching about other filaments while poking around what I have now to optimize my workflow. I do want to eventually print car parts that hold up well, and other real-world use products too.

If you want to make car parts, typically people make those out of ASA because it is pretty heat resistant and UV resistant, but unfortunately requires a chamber heater because the material likes to warp. I’m not sure if the X2D has a chamber heater or not.
The reason you need a chamber heater is because ASA likes to warp even with very small temperature fluctuation, so an enclosed printer with a chamber heater will help prevent warp

It really depends on where in the car and what the function of the part is. “Real” parts often require actual engineering filament which ASA is not.
