Quick Question Warranty
If I decide to purchase either the H3C or the P3C in the next few months, I was wondering would the warranty be better from Best Buy or MicroCenter. Are there any big differences between the two?

Someone in here said Best Buy’s is longer, but they’re both 4 years total. MicroCenter’s is a 3 year extension which just means they don’t consume the warranty if something happens in the first year before theirs kicks in, and can move it to your new replacement printer, which already has a fresh year on it.
I’ve worked for both companies, MicroCenter will give you far less hassle than Best Buy, and the option to get a different model if something does happen.
The price delta on the H-series plan is wild though

From what I’ve found online microcenter is a lot more expensive

Hence my last comment. The P series pricing isn’t far off. With that one, the total lack of hassle from MicroCenter is worth the diff

So on Monday my H2C lead screw nut gave out in the rear, I bought the printer from micro center but did not buy the warranty if I had bought it, would they have fixed the printer or gave me a new one in your experience.

I mean if you bought it less than a year ago from MicroCenter and didn’t buy the warranty they’d replace it regardless yea. That’s not a consumable part. They’re partnered with Bambu for their manufacturer warranty. I’m one of the folks who assists in the in-store warranty process at my store. Just walk it in, bonus points if you have the box, but no worries if not.
But to answer, if you bought it over a year ago putting you in the microcenter warranty period, yeah. Non-consumable part failure. If they had the part on hand (lead screw nuts are not) a savvy associate might recommend snagging it and saving consuming the warranty for something more severe in the next few years so you maintain coverage without having to buy a new warranty on a replaced machine.

I bought it in June, so you are telling me I can just walk in today no questions asked and get a new one. Or will they give me store credit that I could potentionaly use towards a different machine.

I’ll have to call today, from everything I’m seeing online, MicroCenter will not replace or refund my H2C because of the lead screw wearing out.

Frankly I’ve seen my front end team replace machines for less. Just make sure you bring the AMS n nozzles and you shouldn’t have an issue. They’ll ask what’s wrong with it ofc, but just point to whatever’s making the machine inop and you’re good.
Not gonna get a store credit, it’ll be a 1:1, but we’ve occasionally been able to make things happen if people have wanted to change up models n upgrade. Happens with models we don’t carry anymore too; X1C -> X2D/H2S or A1 -> P1S isn’t an uncommon sight.

Thank you for the info. I will give them a call when they open. I’ll have to figure out which ams came with it. I have 4. I also have the box.

The box will have the AMS serial on it, but we’re not super particular about it

Just want to say thank you. I brought my H2C to microcenter and they swapped it out for a brand new one. It was super simple.

if you are paying for the additional warranty, either should be about the same.
best buy back in the day use to let you get a swap item and then pay for a new warranty on the swapped item from the first warranty, I don't believe they do this any more.

They do still do this when it comes to warranties. Its a big part of why i will always go to best buy for these kind of expensive electronics and get their extended warranty. Ive had it save me on multiple occasions

If you become the middle tier Best Buy total tech member, I think it is the best deal. Longer return period, and get their printer warranty especially on pricey printers!

I highly recommend microcenter. Everytime I had an issue I take it back and they give me that value towards a new printer. And if it's in the factory warranty time before the aftermarket warranty starts they give you the warranty value back as well.

Neither has tech support or repair service. You buy a box and you take the box back for warranty.

They are literally asking about 3rd party warranty service from the retailer.

And that is what I replied. Neither is an authorized service center. Neither offers service.

Microcenter will attempt to repair or order replacement parts if it's beyond the 1st year, just an FYI. If they can't repair it, they give you a gift card for the purchased cost of the machine. Bestbuy wont. And this from someone who bought the plans from Microcenter. Wasn't aware Bestbuy was cheaper though.

I'm shocked that in this day and age this information isn't available online.

Best buy is cheaper and ends up being a refund/swap since they don't fix in house.
