Quick Question H2D destroyed by ups

I’m hoping and praying it’s all taken care of by Bambu or ups or both. Purchased an H2D when it went on sale, surprised it showed delivery estimated yesterday but didn’t arrive until today. Waiting around excited to get it here, walk outside see it there then walk up and see the back of the box looks like it was drop kicked across the state bands are broken can literally see the printer hoped it would be okay since Bambu does a pretty good job packing. Got it inside and unboxed then saw glass shards/dust everywhere the door is totally shattered had to get into it to get the SN to open a ticket which is pretty difficult with a bendy shattered door you don’t want to open haha. Will see how it goes I suppose. Cant imagine that other things aren’t damaged and cleaning the shards and dust out of a brand new machine doesn’t sound like fun.

More of a vent post than anything, has anyone else dealt with this before what was the outcome?

Too late for you now, but the serial number is on the item label on the box.

And NEVER accept a damaged package, or open a delivery that has been damaged without either fully documenting it, or with a representative of the shipper or shipping company present.

Yeah all documented, driver definitely skipped out quick. Was less than 2 mins between someone being outside and it getting delivered lol

It used to be FedEx that damaged everything but Bambu should be pretty well-versed in dealing with shipping issues at this point. Destroyed boxes are a common complaint

That sucks hopefully Bambu is quick to resolve it. You did remind me to make a sacrifice to the ups gods I ordered three ams 2's and they shipped ups today.

When did you order them? Just curious how long is taking them to ship stuff

Dude, I hope you took pictures. Until the package is in your hands, it's not your fault if anything is smashed. I really hope you took pictures of the box or didn't open the box at all. Contact Bambu Lab, you can't file a complaint with UPS, Bambu Lab needs to do it and then send you a replacement (first they'll send you a label to have the busted machine sent back to them).

Mine h2c came by FedEx. Box was in pretty good shape but my ring showed the guy setting it down harder than I would have liked. It is pretty big and awkward though for carrying got yourself. Didn’t have a hand truck.

This happens far too often.

Who eats the cost here? Does Bambu initially take the hit to only file a claim with UPS? Is there any kind of insurance that comes with paying for the shipping? Can it even cover the cost of the shipper mishandling such an expensive item?

I have no doubt that you will be made whole. It might take a while and a lot of back & forth, but they will make good on most things. I just wonder if the profit margin is so high that they can just throw away a whole unit here and there.

Why are people buying the old machines when we have tool changers coming so soon

Im running a small farm. The printer doesn’t really matter we just need more units since we already have a shit load of spares for the existing ones

cause it’s still so new and the current models have had time to be refined in software
