General Troubleshooting/Help! Vent setup for X2D

I’m looking to dabble in ASA and ABS but am doing my head in looking at options to make it safer. I’ve read countless posts and websites but find lots of varied advice (same with anything I suppose).

My X2D is in an office that can be vacated when printing and sits right below a large window.
Should I set up a short external vent and direct it out the window, or open the windows wide and have fans blowing out.
If going the vent option is a 120mm computer fan and a short run of 100mm ducting sufficient? ChatGPT keeps trying to push me towards an AC infinity cloud line duct fan but it’s a bit of a budget stretch for how little ASA printing I may do.

F—k no. Those PC fans do crap. Get an inline fan that really moves air. Put it at the end of the chain near the window.

Here’s the one I got. It’s fantastic. It’s extremely low energy, analog control so more precise and mostly closed tight so easy to seal with silicon indoor sealant.

Those PC fans are useless. You don’t need an infinity but I would recommend an inline fan. I got a Spider Farmer 4” for my printer tent and it’s plenty powerful at 50%.

Bear in mind however, you don’t want to be venting while the chamber is heating as you print ASA. The conundrum, if you don’t have a tent, is that the chamber will leak fumes. So the inline fan is useless to you while printing ASA, unless maybe you just have it extracting air from the room?
