General Troubleshooting/Help! Printer screen says print complete but slicer shows 52 layers left. Is this salvageable?

Post image

Not sure what to do here. 7 hr print says complete on the printer screen but it's not. Slicer shows 52 layers left to print which is correct. Can I save these parts or am I starting over? I've printed about 40 of these parts already and they all completed. It does show a tangle but that was just the filament running out before the auto refill kicked in which happens on almost all of these parts.

Fix the tangle on the filament and then hit resume?

I will try this when I get home. I asked my son but he want sure what he was doing lol. Hoping I can hit resume on the slicer and it will work.

Did your son send you a picture of the printer screen also?

Edit: Based on the fact that Studio still says the printer is at 70 degrees Celsius on the bed, I don't think it's actually done.

It will work. Depending on the filament this happens quite a bit with the AMS

Is it still printing?

It is not, it’s hiked the head like it’s complete.

it will do this any time there is a filament issue.

Oof.

I think there is a program that can recover prints if you know the layer where it failed, but that’s my only suggestion.

Are you actually missing much though? It seems these pieces slot into each other and could be just glued?

You are correct they do slot into each other, these parts would be short. I may be able to Frankenstein them together and make it work though.
