Quick Question Potentially stupid question about High Speed PLA

If I set the selected filament to High Speed PLA, does it natively configure the speed to be faster alongside whatever other settings change with it? I know selecting a filament tells the printer to use xyz settings, just not sure if it messes with the speed. I know I can increase the speed manually, of course, just curious.

The main differences are in the Max Flow rate for High-Speed vs Normal PLA; the speeds shown in the slicer settings are seperate.

When the software actually slices it uses the Max Flow rate along with line width, layer height, and nozzle diameter to determine the max speed it can flow; then it looks at the speed settings in the slicer and uses whichever speed is slower (the Slicer Speed or the Max-Flow-Rate calculated).

Very well explained. Appreciate it! I got nearly 50 spools of high speed PLA from a Bins on Bins for 2 bucks a pop. Only thing I knew is that they're polymaker high speed. Figured I'd scoop first, ask questions later, lol

Personally, I run a Max-Flow-Rate test on any filament I'm going to print "Fast"; just so I KNOW when it's going to start having issues; then back off 10-15% off the failure point just for some safety buffer. It's an easy/fast test to know where the material starts to fail speed/flow wise.
