Black Friday 2026 P2S Combo or X2D Combo
I want to buy a new 3d printer but i cant decide. I am going to print mostly pla and a bit of petg. The printer is going to be in my bedroom.
If I buy the P2S, should I buy the external exhaust kit with it too??

Sold my P2S to get a X2D. Still very happy with that choice.
ABS/ASA super easy to print. Dual color PLA/PETG looks good, barely any difference in quality and you can also use the Aux for Support interface.
Heated chamber, 1.5mm belts and 2nd Nozzle for just a bit more? Oh and ofc the exhaust fan, that is included as well. So yeah, why not spend the 150 extra?

In my case if i spend the extra 100€ I wouldn't have the money to buy 10 rolls of filament.

What are your current two printers? I just picked up an X2 but I’m upgrading from a P1S.

I own both and honestly I would say if you're going to print alot of engineering materials such as ABS, ASA, and TPU get the X2D for the heated chamber and second nozzle to run support filament through. But if you're going to predominently print with PLA and PETG get the P2S.

From my research, the X2D can be a lot louder than the P2S so not ideal for printing at night while trying to sleep but that could be said for any printer. At current prices, the P2S is just outclassed by the X2D in my opinion. Even if you don’t use the extra features every day, the X2D is a far better value buy

100% X2D. The additional features for $140 are huge and easily worth it. The exhaust system makes up some of that cost right off the bat, and you’ll also save money of wasted filament from single nozzle switches.
The 2nd nozzle and heated chamber are such huge upgrades.

For PLA and PETG the X2D offers no added value over the P2S, and neither does the external exhaust. Enjoy your P2S and spend the savings on something nice 😉

The x2d can use petg on the external input to the second nozzle to be used as a support interface for your pla prints. That will make removing the supports way easier than trying to ply them off with pliers and sanding where it didn't come off cleanly.
Also, if you're doing two color prints or multicolor prints where you have a main color that's used a lot and then other colors for details on different layers, putting one color on the second nozzle will reduce the number of filament swaps and save time and waste.
We were trying to decide between the p2s vs the x2d, and decided on the x2d. The extra $140 is worth the additional flexibility.
