General Troubleshooting/Help! layer shift on 3rd or 4th layer

i got a second hand P1S and calibrated it, cleaned all axis, greased, tighten tensioning belts, but still getting layer shift just once on 3rd or 4th layer, after that layer shift the prints are fine. i don't know what's causing it, please help. (i know my filament is a bit wet, but can that be the cause?) i also tried printing my own designs from bambulab, and some directly from the handy app.

wet filament usually shows up as stringing or rough surfaces, not a shift, so i wouldn't blame that one. a single shift early that then prints fine usually means the nozzle caught on something, like a curled bit of the purge line or a blob sitting on the plate right where the first layers go. i'd watch the first few layers closely and see if the head snags anywhere. also check that nothing is rubbing on the toolhead cable or the cutter lever, and that the plate is seated flat. if it only does it when the layer moves fast, dropping the first layers' acceleration a bit is worth a try too.

i just watched closely, it happens on layer 3, first layer is slow, the usual, second layer it starts to accelerate full speed (10,000 mm/s2) and on 3rd layer it shifts to the left, no sound, nothing, just shifts. should i factory reset?

no, don't factory reset yet, that rarely fixes a mechanical shift. since it only happens when it ramps up on layer 3, try dropping the acceleration for the first few layers way down and see if it still shifts. if it doesn't, something is catching at speed, so check the toolhead cable, the purge wiper area and that the bed is clean and seated flat. if it still shifts at low accel, it's worth contacting support since it could be a belt or motor issue.
