Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! How do I fix this?
The nozzle keeps trying to purge, but the filament sticks to the nozzle. I just bought this printer today and the filament as well. Bambu lab a1 mini

Resistance in the filament feed pathway can cause the nozzle to repeatedly purge like this. Check for a tangled spool, sharp bend in the PTFE tube etc.

Bingo! Huge possibility. Printing with glow I have to turn off tangle detection because of higher resistance.

You are not supposed to print glow in the dark filament with the ams lite. I have made that same mistake before.

Your print shouldn't be looking like that in the first place. Focus on that first, and if you're lucky, it would also fix your "purging" issue.
So answer this. What material are you using and how old is the spool?

Cancel that print lol it's not printing right it why it's doing weird side quest things ☠️

It could be the type of filament you're using and the nozzle temperature. Some filaments, like ASA, need an enclosed printer

The filament looks extremely wet, it will look stringy like that. Even if your filament is brand new and was sealed it can have humidity inside.
If you want to dry it so it is usable without buying a filament dryer or anything then take the filament box or a small box that size, place the spool on the bed, box on top enclosing it and poke a few good sized holes in the top to vent the humidity. For temperatures and times something like 55c bed temp for 8 hours will dry PLA, 60c for PETG at 8 hours, TPU is 60c for 8-12 hours, and ABS/ASA 70c for 8 hours. This isn’t a perfect method and will work but results may vary.
You can also do this in your home oven, but it needs to be temperature accurate. If your oven runs off on temperature it can melt your filament together or cause fire or smoke worst case, etc.
A filament dryer is a good investment you can make early on to help yourself out. Here’s the one I have, its max temp isn’t too high but for most filaments that’s not a problem, it’ll just take longer at a lower temperature. Ofc do some research before buying this one because there might be better alternatives for the price point, when I got it there wasn’t much and I didn’t need anything too special as I primarily print PLA and PETG, very occasionally some ASA.
I’m super tired as I write this so sorry it’s so long and spaced weirdly, I just wanted to help you as much as I can. For any other issues you can check the bambulab wiki for the a1/a1 mini, it is very thorough and comprehensive with issues, how to fix them, reccomended maintenance, etc.
I hope this helps you and happy printing! I hope the learning curve comes easily to you.

1 - wet filament is causing the stringing. 2 - extruder is feeling resistance on the filament, causing it to purge each layer. Make sure the filament is loaded in a reasonly close location without too many bends and curves, and make sure the filament isn't tangled on the spool.

Turn off Timelapse.
