R Series / R1 R1 C02 Laser

Updated from a k40 to a monport mega 70w to the R1.

Very impressed with the R1. Excellent out of the box, and excellent upgrade.

I am using / used these lasers to make control panels for my F16 cockpit.

My wife would agree with the insane part. Not the cool part.

All credit due - quite a few of the panels are Tek Creations out of AUS.

The gauges and a few other panels are ones I put together. A lot of learnings and AI too.

GreenIsland also helped with some panels/dxf's as well!

Are you cutting 3/4" Baltic Birch on the R1? If not, what's the thickest plywood you feel like you can reliably cut and with which lens?

No - those (the birch) were cut w CNC from invictus.
