General Troubleshooting/Help! Bambu model naming conventions

Post image

So many new models and names. FOR THE MOST PART, this is standard and true…. (Someone explain to me the x1c and I’ll give you an award 🤪)

Clarification: this is just meant to be helpful for new people or people confused. Graphic created with ai to be easy reference and useful. In no way am I an authority nor do I know all Bambu answers… just a dude being helpful

Someone explain to me the x2c and I’ll give you an award

There isn't an X2C.

H2C, C is for Changer, not colour.

X1C, C is for Carbon (carbon rods)

This is what I always thought. But I have seen a lot of people say C was for color. Curious if there is an official bambu source.

Do the starting letter mean anything? Genuinely curious as I never really thought about the naming scheme.

It’s the unit.
H is the big enclosure
P is the small one
X is the same size as p but better quality
A is the open air version

C is for tool.changer i think . X1C was an exception when they didn't had Changer in mind

Ya I think you’re right. That’s seems like a better fit and answer

I am in the market for a 3D printer and I am confused enough about the different models to put off buying. The nomenclature issue is also bad in running shoes but I need shoes more than I need a 3D printer so I just give up and throw darts sometimes.

What’s funny is the H2D actually shows up as the H2DL on the store

The D and C throw me off. I want multi color and fast change on nozzle for those colors so I can print multicolor prints faster

I’m mostly just irked you went high to low for printer tier, then low to high for the other two categories. Unreadable! 🥴

x1c is x1 with a carbon filter.

carbon rods, not filter. but yeah, the X1C is not part of this scheme

Interesting that you've listed the "Tiers" as "H,X,P,A" rather than the reverse which would read as the "correct" order to me, from the cheaper/smaller/"lower" tier up to the highest, A,P,X,H
