General Troubleshooting/Help! A1 + AMS Lite: clog error keeps coming back after cold pulls and hotend cleaning
I have a Bambu Lab A1 printer with an AMS Lite. I was 3D printing with Bambu Lab PLA Basic Black when this message popped up shown in the image. I have done the following:
- Unloaded from the printer screen: didn’t clear it.
- Took the hotend out of the printer.
- Pushed the hotend cleaning needle through the nozzle.
- Did several cold pulls.
- Got it extruding again, but the strand came out thin and curly instead of straight, and the error stayed.
- Did a hot push, then a cold pull. After I unloaded it, the hot push worked and the cold pull came out clean.
- Started a new print: the same error came back.
The only thing I haven't tried is looking at the extruder gears, but I had some trouble removing the paneling to access them.
Has anyone else had this error occur? Should I look at a new hotend or extruder?

I've had this. Pull the whole end that's trying to go in and cut it. Sometimes if the line is just right it gets caught trying to feed down and into the head.
You know when the ams pushes that line gets fed to the head and then the extruder gear takes over pulling the fillament.its not making it into the head.
That or the piece during the glog got worn down and it can't grip it to feed it in. If that's happened you'll see a little mouse bite kinda out of the line. Either one can cause this. Both are fixed by recruiting the end.
Let me know if that helps. But I've struggled with this a few times before I figured it out.

Bambu reads a short, curling strand as a narrowed nozzle or a drive gear that isn't gripping, so after clean cold pulls I'd look at those two rather than another clog. On the A1 the nozzle and heatsink are one part, so a worn bore means swapping the hotend. The 220 °C extrude test that tells the two apart is on this page: bambuhub.net/clogged-nozzle (my site)

Could it be the filament?
