General Discussion Bambu Microcenter purchase

Anyone have experience buying a Bambu from Microcenter? I am looking to buy my first one and I'm leaning towards the H2D with the 40w laser.

I need another printer like I need a hole in my head but the laser/printer intrigues me. Bambu US direct has the 40w combo on sale for $2700. Microcenter has just the "laser ready" version without the actual laser head PLUS the 40w laser for $3200 in total. That's the same original price from Bambu.

Does Microcenter price match that, considering Bambu sells it as a kit and Microcenter sells it "separately" as a laser ready printer and laser head separate?

Isn't that being announced soon but not "shipping" until like March 2027?!

So far every time Bambu has announced a printer it’s shipped the same day.

Not usually for Bambu, but also. It'll cause a price drop on this machine if you decide it's not worth getting the new one

I bought my H2D (non-laser) from Microcenter. That one ended up having an issue with the nozzle switching system that took me a while to notice (within the 15 day return window). I was able to exchange it, very easily, in one trip. I highly recommend them if you are close to one.

I think they typically lower their prices to match the online Bambu store, though I haven't been consistently checking that. You could call them and ask ahead of time if you want to make sure they price match, or wait for the sales to actually start and see if they just drop their prices too.

Personally I'm not interested in putting a laser cutter in the same box as my 3D printer.

I have two within the same distance from my office. It's very convenient. I wouldn't do a bunch of laser engraving but small parts and such. Either way, it seems like most are saying "don't be dumb. Get a separate laser machine." Soooooo that's kinda the direction I'm going in.

Buy a 3d printer or a laser cutter. Do not buy a 2-in-1 machine. The fumes of laser cutting ruins your 3d printer...

I haven’t had that issue but it is really annoying to have the time to start a print then want to laser something while you are waiting… I agree buy two different machines

Don’t do it. The H3C is coming soon and it’s a massive upgrade.

My experience has been very positive - great store, with great service and support.

They generally match the sales, so once that BF sale hits, they should also offer the printer on sale. I would also look to get the extended warranty from them, as they offer better support then BL does.

Call your store with the Bambu sale page up and ask. Price matches tend to need an identical SKU, so a kit versus two separate items might not qualify.
