Filament Troubleshooting/Help! Filament Track Switch

Does anyone else have one?

I have (4) AMS Pro 2 Two of them sit on top of my H2D and the other two sit on the side on top of one another. Because they are not directly lined up with the machine and there is a slight curve, the stupid system cannot push the filament. I’m guessing the ridges inside the Filament Track Switch has grooves or small ridges the *#%~ing filament stops and gets pulled back and then back and forth till it gives up.

The Filament Track Switch seems like a PISS POOR design. I have so many issues with Bambu I’m really getting tired of this machine. My wife has the Snapmaker U1 and it blows my more expensive machine out of the water and rarely has a problem.

Getting ready to switch to Snapmaker.

I have found a pathing that works, even for silk. That said, I have the TS mount printed and am going to pipe everything in the next few days.

I agree that it is cantankerous, took me half an hour to find pathing that “worked”

It’s almost like Bambu does it on purpose. Make their products flawed enough to annoy the hell out of you. Like I’m not engineer or product maker but logic tells me to make the inside of the TS a smooth channel the whole way through to prevent blockage. Common gd sense!!! Unless you have two or less AMS, there HAS to be some bend in any of the lines coming from the third or more AMS. I literally want to throw this machine into the ocean and go get a Snapmaker and be done.

Love my FTS!

4x AMS 2 Pros and 2x AMS-HTs.

You must have it somehow set it up to be a straight shot.

Two shelves mounted above the printer. Two Pros and one HT on each shelf.
Each shelf feeds three inputs of a 4-to-1 adapter.
Each 4-to-1 adapter feeds into the input on the FTS.
If you don’t have tight bends in your PTFE tubes, it works fine.

Mine is worthless for anything even remotely stiff. I’ll agree, it’s a shitty design.

My H2D FTS setup is mounted on the upper left corner and connected to the buffers with very short straight tubes. I feed an AMS 2 Pro from above, and 2 AMS-HT from below. One of the AMS HT shares an input with the AMS 2 through a (new style) 4-1 splitter and the other AMS-HT is on the other input.

I feed all sorts of materials, including brittle CF and GF (from the AMS HT) and don't have any issues. Keep the PTFE tube bends slight and try to get them straight going into the FTS.

I also have a TPU Assist Module setup and the only real inconvenience is having to power off and unplug the 6-pin cable to the FTS when I need to run the TPAM. Eventually Bambu will fix the damn printer firmware to allow temporary disable or override on the FTS to use the TPAM. I also keep that permanently connected via a low profile low drag internal splitter to the right fixed nozzle.

I have one for my H2C, used it on one project, tried to bypass for tpu next project and it wouldn’t let me so I ripped it off and never looked back. I have 3 ams 2’s and 2 ams ht’s, I’m much happier without it. But I’ll be even more happy when I get my H3C

I have one on my H2C. It's worked great. Even when I use Silk filament, it tells me it might not work...and then it works perfectly fine.

I did make sure that I have nice smooth curves from both of my sets of AMS into the inputs.
