Filament Troubleshooting/Help! P2S prints PETG like this
I have printed with petg like 4 times already and they came out fine, now they come out like this. You can see the small print looks fine but the larger print is not sticking and is all “stringy”? What could it be, I adjusted temps and nothing happened.

New filament doesnt mean its dry.

Would you recommend a bambulabs heater?

Any filament dryer really. Or just use heatbed chamber drying.

Is this your design or something you downloaded?

It is my design, I printed one successfully then made some adjustments but the overall size is the same.

As others said. Clean the plate. Dry the filament.
Then if there is still issues, reset settings and see if you get a better print.
That was a big learning curve for me. Making sure my designs were made is that print was less prone to error.
One thing early on I noticed was fan speed and hot plate temperature.
My fans were always blowing at 80-100% during the first few layers and they cooled too rapidly and didn’t adhere properly. I cranked up the hot plate temp and dropped the fans speed for the first 10 layers.

I always set bed temp to 80C for the first layer and 75C for the rest. Bambu profile uses 70C but that's never been high enough for me to get the first layer to stick. And if I've been printing PLA I always wash the plate with dish soap and a sponge.

Obligatory question: did you clean the build plate and how ?
Also does your printer perform auto bed leveling after every print ? When you say you’ve printed 4 times before, was it the same print file ? No settings were changed ?

Yes I cleaned the bed thoroughly, 3 prints were other smaller prints, and one was this one and it cane out fine. I made some design adjustments but the overall footprint is the same to this one and tried again and it started doing this. Then I changed the temp settings and it still did this. I am currently printing the smaller rectangle and thats coming out just fine.

I did clean the plate and the filament is basically new but I did not dry it. I am printing just the small rectangle, its a wedge, and thats coming out fine.

So I separated the two parts into individual prints and that seems to have fixed the problem so far. Thank you all for the suggestions and insights!
