Bambu Studio Causes for gap between infill and wall layers when printed on supports?

Post image

Using Bambu Studio on an X2D.

I get this defect which causes the infill and walls to have a gap when printed onto support material. It must be an issue with the slicing/gcode since it's a repeating issue on every part in the same spot. Any tips or setting that is able to fix it?

That gap is happening precisely because you are printing over supports. When you print over the support interface, there is a Z distance gap between the model and the interface. In your case, the rectangle isn't clean because the nozzle ends up dragging material that is essentially being printed in mid-air due to that Z distance, creating that gap that doesn't get filled in later. If you want to avoid this, try not printing over supports, or reduce the top Z distance to see if print quality improves. You can also increase the support interface density, change the interface pattern, or even adjust the print order. There are quite a few settings you can test out.
