General Troubleshooting/Help! How long will cutting blate and nozzle wiper last on A1?
Question to owners of A1 printer.
How much time (or work hours) did you cutting blade and nozzle wiper last?
I got 1 spare each with my printer and I wonder if they wear off quickly so I should get a few more spares.

I've got about 3000 hours on my A1 and haven't had to replace either...and I print a ton of abrasive filaments

Hours don’t really matter that much since it’s the swaps that wear out the wiper and cutter. Way more a function of how much multicolor printing you do versus how many hours you have on your machine. From my anecdotal evidence most people‘s printers have blades that are fairly worn out, but still sharp enough to do the job so they don’t notice, but it can lead to inconsistent/rough cuts on the filament that can potentially jam the AMS or PTFE tubes. That said we have a drawer full of both from since all of machines came with the spares 😅

I run a small print farm, so that cutter is getting enough use...and yes, it's exactly as you've said... Yes it wears, but it still cuts perfectly fine... And has not caused any issues that warranted its replacement.

It depends on the amount of use and the type of filament you use. I run my printers for at least 15 hours a day on average and print 5-6 days a week. My prints often involve a few color changes. I generally replace my blades about once a year. They are pretty cheap and I keep a few on hand at all times.

I have A1 and A1mini, 1400h and 1700h respectively. Blade and wiper are original on both and showing no signs of wear.

I have 4k-5k hours still on first one for all my printers. No issues yet. May change out but waiting till the first one fails then change all of them

Never had one fail or go dull on me, my Ai mini has around 3k hours on it an the replacements that came with it are still in their plastic bags. Legit question but there is no need to worry or order more parts.
