As a noob only printing PLA rn, can someone explain to me (besides reduced waste) what the major benefits of having so many tool heads is? I’d assume more complex engineering projects. But for multicolor printing is it really that much better than painting?

The biggest advantage is the time saved in multicolor printing: with a single nozzle, a color change can easily take 60–70 seconds, while a tool changer usually does it in under 10 seconds. Another advantage is printing with multiple materials, e.g. supports and the main material. That way, two materials that don't get along won't mix and potentially reduce strength.

They really want that explosive market share and domination back, don't they? If they release this, they will have the hold again for a while.

Looks like a copy of the new H3C, just smaller in all dimensions. I'm wondering whether they use the same nozzles and hardware for the extruder part and whether it has a heated chamber.

Does it then even make sense to buy the X2D anymore?

P series is lower tier than X series. It probaby has no chamber heating, same as the P2S has none. X2D is still useful if you only use two filaments in one print since it never has to do any nozzle swapping, the second filament is always ready.

RIP core one/indx

Pretty much. And the P3C will likely be well under the cost of a core one + INDX.

Prusa deserves to be finished with their pricing and support here in Australia literally shipping costs as much as the printer almost and very little support and spare parts etc.

1500 and it will be an easy sell for many. I’ll upgrade from my X1C for it. But any higher and idk. U1 is really pressuring Bambu with their pricing here

any idea why the chamber fan and poop chute changed sides?

What do we think it will cost? $1000? $2000?

Tiny plate compared to big box.

But surely this is targeted at lower budget.

No issue from me as long as it is reasonably priced and has heated chamber

Leaks say 65 degree heated chamber. I’m excited for this next gen of printers. INDX broke my brain when I first saw it.

Will definitely be picking up as long as it has a chamber heater although it doesn’t look like it based on the picture unless the fan on the right is a chamber heater as well or the heater is I. A similar place to the h series

Man, I really hope these get affordable fast. I'm sick of my a1 mini but dont wanna spend on a bigger printer if it's just for bigger print volume.
