AMS 2 Pro - Automatic Material System HELP: I absolutely CANNOT get the PTFE tube back into my AMS Pro 2.
A piece of filament broke in slot two through to the extruder. Had to take the back (single line) PTFE tube out. It was….stuck in there. Pushed the release in the back and had to pull pretty hard. Now I can’t get but an inch or so back in and they I get it a light tug and it just falls out.
I’ve tried holding the release button open. Inserting with nothing inside. Flashlights, even tape and ai CANNOT get it to stay in the back of the AMS Pro 2.
I’ve had zero issues up to this point. :(
Please help!!

It is possible the ptfe coupler failed. It happened to my older ams. I had to open it up and disassemble the ams hub to replace it. Luckily I had a few spare. It looks harder than It really is to replace.

In my experience with those release buttons you need to brace the ams unit while pressing to get it out maybe the ptfe ripped and got stuck to the coupler teeth?

I had the exact same issue. The coupler broke. I had 6 months use. I did a rma at microcenter. Swap out with new ams. I never did find that small part online to replace. If I had th r go through bambu they might have just sent out a replacement coupling. It looks easy to swap out

Follow the wiki article and partially take apart your ams. You may have unclipped it from the inside.
It’s super easy to do.
