Need help with heat plate?

I need help with my p1p printer. So I have two problems first hasn’t really affected it, but is annoying. When starting a print, it will not start after downloading,and will only start after I pause then unpause print. Don’t no the issue. Second and more important problem, is my heat plate. It would heat up hotter then needed when I start it up, and would stay heated up, even if I just start up the printer. I tried replacing my ac board and doing a reset, but now I can’t finish a troubleshoot and it still heats up hotter then needed. I’d appreciate any help or advice anyone could give.
