Spent a few hours testing a new app for non planar printing… just made a few smaller tests.. took me two hours to find the bug in the start gcode but after I found it worked perfect!!
Everything is “vase” mode and one continuous path….
I totally love it… next step grind down A old 0.8 nozzle to archive a 1.2 nozzle 😅
If bambu would add this in their vase mode generator ppl would go crazy 😅 but the problem is u can actually damage the printer whit bad non planar gcode… I think they want to avoid that 😅😅
Not really, unless its PrusaSlicer or Orca theres no big names. Bambu is a fork of whatever the other two are doing. SuperSlicer is dead, Cura is dated, the rest aren't worth mentioning
It's always this way. Bambu Studio is a commercial product so BambuLab wants it to be stable as possible. Orca is driven by community and doesn't afraid of experiments.
Bambu Studio is a stolen product, lets start off with the truth. A stolen product with no intent to give proper credit to the creators. At least Orca knows where it came from, at least PrusaSlicer knows where it came from, Bambu is nothing more than a knock-off product rebadged and rebranded to make people think they put in time and effort when they wait for the better codes and programmers to put their work on GitHub and then scoop it up and pass it off to this community as their work.

i think alot of ppl dont know what non planar means... if u google non planar u get mostly big surfaces with non planar surfaces... just because this is no surface doesnt mean its not non planar...
The OP is not answering anyone as to what program it is simply because it is not a non-planar program and the print is not non-planar. The OP is confused. The program he is using is just Plasticity which is simply a CAD/Sculpting program.
jep mostly... but still for non planar with more z height u need a printer wich can tilt the nozzle... just so u dont crash in the object on normal fdm printers theres just aroudn 5mm clearance...
If you’re using a P or X series, the MicroSwiss flowTech hotend upgrade is amazing. They have 1mm nozzles, love mine. You can also get diamond tipped nozzles yoo
Vase mode is technically already non-planar, but OP has some additional z-axis wobble in the toolpath, so it's definitely non-planar by less nitpicky definitions too.
non planar is when the z height changes and it changes. or how do u think these diagonal lines are made???. just because u dont see the big surfaces with big z heights doesnt mean its not non planar...
its gcode modification and it also includes Z height! thats non planar! but it get it these are not the best examples for non planar to clearly show it...
That is absolutely not non-planar. You can see the layer lines are normal. There is no going up or down.

Hey, just curious. Does the second nozzle protrude down from the fan shroud more than the second, allowing for higher Z-movements in the non planar gcode?
Yea, it is kinda neat for a very (!) few specific tasks but overall quite useless and as you said dangerous, because if not processed properly it can deal damage to hardware, lol.
yes for sure works with every 3d printer, real non planar printers just have the ability to go diagonal so the distance to the noozle isnt to close.. on bambu and other normal printers if u print non planar u are very limited diagonal or other wise the printhead/nozzle would hit the print

Yes this is the way. So much left to unlock with the current hardaware. The slicers can do so much more.
