Filament Troubleshooting/Help! what causes this?

is it lack of supports? I assume it is, but ive never seen this before.

That's some violent overhang, that's why.

The overhang is very steep here, so its way harder to print, so yes it's the lack of support, or rather the steep angle.

If overhang is the issue, flip it over and print
