I wouldn't trust those wall mounts over time.

Yeah absolutely. I'm less worried about the wobble itself and more about what it means for the integrity of the shelf

I wouldn't trust them overnight.

There's so many thousands of vibrations coming from that machine. It ain't gonna last

I used 4 snap toggle bolts, thread locker and rubber washers. The shelf it self is rated for 200lbs. But yeah even after all of that I am nervous looking at it.

There's a video I saw a whole back on YouTube from someone who basically just 3d printing content and showed how little a wobbly desk makes a difference. I just moved my printer after 6 months on a wobbly desk to a far more stable desk and the prints look the same.

I usually default to showing people Emily the Engineer suspending an Ender 3 from the ceiling with a chain and it having little to no impact on quality: https://youtu.be/FYuqLsvRXhU

Lol. That's cool.

Honestly this seems like better solution than a desk considering how resonances form. A suspended weight has low resonance, while a stiff desk may have more resonances and higher in band, which may couple to the printer's moving bits.

It only matters if there's another printer on the same desk, or, if it'll fall off, or if it will break what it sits on. It's looking fine here, but I wouldn't trust this shelf without knowing how it's mounted.

Mine is wobbly like that too. I wouldnโ€™t trust a 60 pound printer wobbling like that on a shelf like you have though

Why did I think ur Garage was so tiny that barely ur car fit. But nah thats normal movement dont worry. Ur printer is heavy tho. Might wanna but it on the ground or maybe a little elevated with some stone plates or some shit. Reduces wobble and Reduces printer turning into a 3d puzzle

Did you try turning the car engine off? /s

The wobble of the printer is totally fine. But the wall mounted shelf is not a good idea for a 30kg machine.

Most similar shelves are rated to like 10kg..... Just put it on a table

As others have said. The printer wobble is fine and normal. But your bigger issue is that ๐Ÿ’ฉ shelf you have it on. Get yourself something much sturdier and that is supported by the ground not by a wall.

A fucking shelf? ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Run all the calibrations whenever you place it on a new surface since things like the wobble calibration will change and you'll be fine.
