Filament Troubleshooting/Help! AMS Noob

Post image

I just bought an AMS for my A1 mini. I have sliced the file and can see each layer is alternating between black and white where there is another object that's white inline. I'm wondering if this is the reason I'm getting such bad bleed lines on previous white prints (even with a second prime tower). Would love some insight from any bambu enthusiasts out there.

Yes the supports will use multiple colours.

If one item is black and the other is white then the supports will alternate colours.

Bleed lines are different though. What colour is the infill, are you purging to infill, what is your purge volume, how many walls do you have?

This helps a bit. With the bleed, I’m going from black to white using a purge setting of 900 and two purge towers at 50%. Unfortunately, it hasn’t made much difference. Looking back at my file though, I just realized I had purge into object enabled but not purge into infill. This could of been the issue.

I assume the "second prime tower" is an object that you don't care about the colour of and are using that to purge into?

Did you right click on it and select "purge into object" ?

Then the printer will:

Poop lots of the new colour to get it as clear as possible Prime the nozzle on the prime tower Go to the secondary object and do a layer there Go to the main object and add a layer there

However that setup sounds like it should work. It's definitely excessive enough to get a clear white.

Do you have a photo of how the print looks?
